Open Position- Baronial Minister of Arts and Sciences
Our current MoAS, THL L. Severin Schröder, has reached the end of his four-year term in the Barony. Therefore, applications are open for Baronial Minister of Arts and Sciences. If you are interested in taking on the position, please email a letter of intent including proof of SCA membership to seneschal@bbm.eastkingdom.org, baroness@bbm.eastkingdom.org, and baron@eastkingdom.org. Please include:

Along with a brief explanation as to why you would like this position.
Letter are due by 11:59pm on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 so we may choose a successor at the meeting on Thursday, October 11th.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Encourage the Baronial populace in their pursuit and study of Arts and Sciences
• Attend monthly Baronial Business Meetings whenever possible.
• Submit Monthly reports to the Baronial Seneschal on activities and projects by the Baronial populace
• Submit Quarterly reports to the Regional MoAS on A&S projects and activities by the Baronial populace (then let the Baronial Seneschal know the report has been sent)
• Occasionally organize or lead classes, find teachers or resources, organize displays and competitions at events or online as needed.
• If selected, the incoming MoAS must maintain a current SCA membership for the duration of their term.

Open Officer Position- Baronial Exchequer
We are overdue to vote on a new Baronial Exchequer. That person would then train under our current exchequer, Safiya, until April of 2026, when they would step fully into the role.
If you are interested in the position, please send your letter of intent, including proof of SCA membership to seneschal@bbm.eastkingdom.org, baron@bbm.eastkingdom.org, baroness@bbm.eastkingdom.org, and exchequer@bbm.eastkingdom.org by 11:59pm on Sunday, October 5th.

Baronial Exchequer:
• Must be a paid member of BBM residing within the boundaries of the Barony
• Is responsible for the financial affairs of the group.
• Must keep accurate records of the income and expenses of the group
• Submits quarterly reports to the Kingdom Exchequer (and then informs the Baronial Seneschal the report has been sent)
• Submits Non-Member Report and Post-event Financial reports after every Baronial event
• Writes checks and secure a signature from a second signatory
• Submits their monthly report to the Baronial Seneschal before the scheduled baronial business meeting.
• Involved in the gate reconciliation process at events (or designates a deputy to do so in their place)
• Responsible for bank runs before/after events (or designates a deputy who is a signatory to do so in their place)
• Must have access to a laptop or computer capable of running Excel (or another spreadsheet software such as OpenOffice)
• If selected, the incoming Exchequer must maintain a current SCA membership for the duration of their term.
**Baronial Exchequer position is contingent upon being accepted and warranted by the Kingdom Exchequer**
