My dress is assembled and fit, nothing left to do but make and attach the straps and hem the bottom.
I have no idea what it looks like in the mirror, but it seems like it’s cute. I have half of the back seam — the only longitudinal seam — finished, and I’m about to prep the straps for sewing. I won’t be able to finish the straps until I get the tablet weaving done, though, because the band goes between the brooches above the edge of the dress.
Now that I think about it, though, I want to go back and look and see why they think that the band looped around the front loops, rather than the pins of the brooches, because that would make my life a lot easier. I could set up the loops the way I usually do and not worry about leaving room for the band.
I need to rewarp my loom and get some work done there, anyway. I need to get that done tout de suite. The technique is still not super familiar to me, so I need to make sure I have time for it. I also still need to cut out my hosur and make sure those get done, and still maybe shoes? Yikes…
Time to iron these straps and go to bed. I’ll have pictures soon.
Night, y’all.
